Sunday, October 22nd.- One of the sports that provides direct slots for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games via Santiago 2023 is sport climbing, and the leader of the Pan American medal table, the United States, took advantage of it. 

The speed event in the men's category was held on the wall set up at Parque Cerrillos, where the Americans dominated completely. 

The final was entirely American as it featured Samuel Watson and Noah Bratschi, who thrilled the spectators filling the stands at the venue located in the southwestern part of the city of Santiago.  

The Pan American champion was Watson, who, defeated his teammate with a time of 5.37 seconds to qualify for Paris 2024. Meanwhile, Bratschi, who ultimately won the silver medal.ompared to the 5.96 seconds posted by 

The battle for the bronze medal was between the Canadian Ethan Flynn-Pitcher and the Ecuadorian Carlos Granja, with the North American winning with a time of 5.59 seconds against the 5.52 seconds of the South American.
