Brazilians Loyola, Souto continue unstoppable in beach volleyball

The Brazilian duo secured their second victory in Group C of the 2023 Pan American Games.

Sunday, October, 22nd.- The Brazilian beach volleyball duo of Andre Loyola and George Souto remains unstoppable in Santiago 2023. In Parque Peñalolén, the pair secured their second victory in Group C by defeating the Colombian team of Johan Murray and Juan Carlos Noriega with a score of 21-15 and 21-10. 

In the first set, Loyola took charge of the game, excelling in blocking at the net and making strong spikes to score points, sealing the set with a decisive 21-15. 

In the second set, the Colombian duo's performance dipped, which the Brazilians capitalized on to quickly build a lead on the scoreboard, closing the match with a solid 21-10. 

The Brazilian pair will hit the Parque Peñalolén court again on Monday, October 23, to face the Cuban team consisting of Jorge Alayo and Noslen Díaz, where they will aim to finish at the top of their group and confirm their status as favorites for the gold medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
