Colombian Mariana Pajón Londoño won the gold in BMX Cycling at Santiago 2023

The two-time Olympic gold medalist prevailed on the track at Parque Peñalolén and is now a three-time Pan American Games champion.

Sunday, october 22nd, 2023.- Ratifying the favoritism she carried and living up to her reputation, Colombian Mariana Pajón Londoño got the gold medal at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 in the BMX Racing competition.

The 32-year-old Colombian, who won a silver medal in Tokyo 2020 and is a two-time Olympic gold medalist (in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016), often referred to as "The BMX Queen," emerged victorious on the track at Parque Peñalolén with a time of 34.400.

The silver medal went to Canadian rider Molly Gwen Simpson (36.000), and another Colombian, Gabriela Bolle Carrillo (36.500), completed the podium.

In this way, Mariana Pajón Londoño became a three-time Pan American Games champion, having previously won gold medals in Guadalajara 2011 and Lima 2019.
